TITECH announces its arrival to the Brazilian market during the 13th edition of FIMAI and SIMAI (Feira e Seminário Internacional e Meio Ambiente Industrial e Sustentabilidade). The event takes place from 08 to 10 November 2011 in the Blue Pavilion of Expo Center Norte in Sao Paulo.

The company, which currently has 60 percent market share in the segment of sensor-based sorting of waste worldwide, specializes in research and development for the industry and has presence in over 35 countries.

During the event, TITECH demonstrates the Brazilian visitors the dynamics of one of its key technologies for sorting solid waste. It is a shortened version of the sensor-based technology that sorts recyclable material, in an automated manner, based on criteria defined in advance.

"After two years of market research, we believe that Brazil is ready to receive and to deploy this sorting technology for recyclable waste. We want to offer the possibility to recycle more and better; this gives value to the public sector, and to the private sector. Especially with the new regulations of the Public Policy of Solid Waste, we will help add value to the processes of waste disposal," says Carlos Manchado, director of the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and Latin America. According to the executive, plans for the Brazilian operation will be extended to the company's needs across the country.

"We started to approach collection and reclamation of waste as well as street cleaning companies, local governments and industry associations, and also the Ministry of the Environment," explains Carina Arita, sales manager at TITECH in Brazil. Today, with an office based in Sao Paulo, the company has technical support in form of a partnership with Tecborde in Minas Gerais. The company's plans are to expand this support network when the first machines are installed in the country.
