TOMRA Sorting has revealed a major leap forward in sensor-based sorting systems by launching the next generation TITECH autosort 4 at IFAT ENTSORGA in Munich.
The most energy efficient and maintenance-friendly system available, TITECH autosort 4 is the first near-infrared (NIR) scan system not to require an external light source. Instead, it incorporates groundbreaking FLYING BEAM® technology, which delivers benefits including reduced power consumption and lower maintenance levels.
Seeking to replace effort and components with smart ideas, TITECH autosort 4 has been designed by focusing on simplicity, pow er, reliability, accuracy and compactness. The lean and durable solution combines high performance and output with low energy consumption and reduced carbon footprints for customers.
TITECH autosort 4 has fewer parts that can potentially fail and lower cleaning and maintenance needs. This means steadier performance and minimized downtime, plus savings to customers in time, money and manpower.
The FLYING BEAM® technology’s inclusion is the system’s most fundamental change compared to its predecessors. The new technology means TITECH autosort 4 has no external lamps and illuminates only the area of its conveyor belt being scanned, creating light energy savings of up to 70%.
