Demolition Day 2010

Date: 28/04/2010 - 29/04/2010
Venue: Haeker's Kurhotel
Location: Bad Ems, Germany

Find out how to recover value from C&D Waste at Demolition Day 2010: Alternatives to landfill

Thousands of tons of recyclable materials from construction and demolition (C&D) activities are sent to landfill every day. The new EU directive 2008/98/EC requires that by 2020 70% of these waste streams are recovered in all EU-member states, but current treatment facilities provide only limited scope to sort C&D waste into recyclable fractions.

On 28 & 29 April 2010, TITECH, the world's number 1 in sensor based optical sorting, invites you to Demolition Day in Bad Ems, Germany. Join a forum of European experts to discuss how we can prepare to meet this challenge and see a live waste sorting trial. The seminar will tackle key topics such as

  • How will European legislation influence the C&D sector?
  • What is the potential for sorting recyclables from C&D waste?

In addition to papers from a selection of key organizations, TITECH will carry out a full-scale trial at the nearby Zimmermann C&D Material Recover Facility (MRF) to demonstrate what materials can be recovered from this waste stream.
