Italy is the worldwide leader in the consumption of polymer bottles and therefore an important market for PET and PE container sorting. One of the largest plastic sorting facilities in the world is located in Montello. TITECH has installed 18 units in this facility. They sort PET bottles by colour (clear, light blue and coloured) and PE containers from a mixed plastic input .They also clean the PET stream from impurities (like PVC, PE and PS) to provide an output with high purity for further recycling.
